Embrace Project’s partners: ComParte

ComParte – Maria Rosa Foundation, based in Portugal, promotes citizen participation in policy design for them to become more efficient, effective and humane. To this end, it creates contexts for listening to the experience of the beneficiaries and for their collaboration with professionals and decision-makers.

Why did you choose, as an organization, to join Embrace?

In ComParte we create contexts for newcomers to participate in decision-making and policy implementation processes, because we believe they have unique knowledge for the integration system. Embrace allows us to do this across Europe.

What is your role in the project ?

Our activities allow newcomers and decision-makers to work together on specific issues of integration. Starting with Listening Sessions, newcomers will share their experiences and thoughts about different topics. Then they will share their ideas and recommendations with decision-makers and, together, they will participate in co-projecting workshops, to make ideas become real changes in integration policies.

What outcomes do you expect the project to achieve?

We expect to foster participation of newcomers in decision-making processes by showing that their involvement brings added-value to the integration system and the policies that are created.
